I'm interested in buying a greyhound to race - more of a hobby  idea at the moment so I'm looking for any basic pointers when buying and training ie - what do I look for in a good dog, are there any special dietary requirements, and how  do i start training them?

I'm new to the forum - just wondered if you've already got sorted out with a dog.  I know of a dog that is for sale (owned by a syndicate who've lost interest) or I have some pups for sale (will be keeping a least one of them myself).
